Anderson Power 992G1 SB Series SB®50 Housing – Red
$2.50
Loose piece SB50 series housing. The smallest of the SB® series housings, feature a one piece plastic housing using stainless steel springs to hold low resistance contacts in place. Compatible with wire contacts up to 6 AWG as well as PCB, and busbar contacts.
Description
Based off the design pioneered by Anderson in 1953, the two pole SB connectors set the standard for DC power distribution and battery connections. SB connectors feature a rugged one piece plastic housing using stainless steel springs to retain the contacts and create the “contact force” that provides extremely low resistance enabling greater electrical efficiency. The SB connectors are also genderless reducing the need for specific male/female components. Color-coded and mechanically keyed housings designed to prevent both visually and physically cross-mating devices with different voltages. Contacts are traditionally silver plated to minimize electrical resistance while offering supreme durability and reliability. Popular SB applications include: Electrical Testing Equipment, Commercial Trucking Charger, Automatic Guided Vehicles, UPS, Material Handling, Motive Power and Electric Vehicles.
One Piece Plastic Housing: Contains both positive and negative contacts in a single housing.
Low Resistance Contacts: Allows Ul Rated currents up to 120A
Genderless Design: Mates with identical connector on the opposing side – No M/F components
Color and Mechanically Keyed: Prevents mixing system voltages and protects against reverse polarity
UL Rated for Hot Plugging up to 50A: Great for battery or other applications where the ability to interrupt circuits is required
Wire, PCB, and Busbar Conacts: Allows one connection system to meet multiple needs
